2016-17 A-league Round 11 Betting Multi
The 2016-17 A-league season continues this weekend and after going 3/4 last week we return with our Round 11 A-League Multi.
To kick things off we will start with the Friday night match up between the Newcastle Jets and Adelaide United. The Reds are coming off a humiliating defeat against the Reds on the road and despite playing a weaker side we are predicting them to struggle again away from home. The side has defensive problems but it is up front where they are struggling the most. They aren’t creating quality chances and it is rare when they find the back of the net. Meanwhile the Jets are coming off their best performance of the season and it was on the road against the Glory. It is credit to the side for earning the three competition points in a tough environment and we believe they will make it back-to-back victories.
In the second leg of our multi we will be predicting the Wellington Phoenix to continue their winning ways against the Western Sydney Wanderers. The Phoenix earned their second win of the year and both have came against the Mariners. However, their win on the weekend was the best of the season and they scored three goals. On the other hand, the Wanderers conceded three goals and it was in front of their home fans. It goes to show how inconsistent this team is and how poor they are defensively as they have conceded 19 goals in 10 matches. The Phoenix haven’t lived up to their potential yet this season but we believe this could be the turning point in the year for them and they will begin to get on a roll.
For the third leg of our multi we are predicting Melbourne victory to get one back on their crosstown rivals Melbourne City in the derby. City came out on top in the match up in round 2 and it was on the back of a stunner from Tim Cahill and an all round team performance. However, the Victory have begun to build momentum and they have risen to third spot in the ladder, just one competition point behind City. They have began to play quality football, improved their defence and now have scored the second most goals in the league. Meanwhile City have been inconsistent throughout the year with players coming in an out of their line up due to injury. We are backing the Victory to earn the competition points with a late goal.
To wrap things up we will be backing Sydney FC to earn the win on the road against Perth Glory. The Sky Blues have split the points in three of their last four matches but still remain undefeated this season. They have proven to be a tough team to beat and this is largely due to their terrific defence that has conceded just four goals in 10 games. They are very structured and play with a style that forces their opponents to play the better football if they are going to create a chance. However, this has lead the side to dry up their goal scoring as their clear cut chances have been reduced. The Glory lost on home soil last week against the Jets and they will want to make amends, however, the Sky Blues are clearly a better side and they won’t be able to crack the defence while Sydney FC will get the one goal they need.
