NRL Finals

As we offer up our latest NRL betting tips Its the second week of the 2015 NRL finals. The Sydney Roosters will be taking on the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs and the Cronulla Sharks are traveling to Townsville to take on the North Queensland Cowboys.

Friday night’s game is a cross town rival. The Harbour city will be lit up when minor premiers the Sydney Rooster host the Bulldogs at Allianz Stadium. Last week these two teams played absolute nail biters, the Rooster went down to the Storm 20-18 and the Bulldogs won their elimination final against St George 11-10.

This is it, the Season is on the line from now on. The rooster will have to go into this one without Mitchell Pearce who failed a fitness test earlier this week, he will be replaced at halfback by youngster Jackson Hastings. Aside from that change the Rooster have made no other changes, confidence will be high in the Rooster camp as they have won 9 of their last 10 including beating the bulldogs 38-28 in round 21.

The Bulldogs are again unchanged. Their game is built on defense, and no player solidifies that more than current bulldogs hooker Damien Cook. In the last five weeks he has notched up several stellar performances including a huge 67 tackles last week against the Dragons.

The Rooster underperformed last week against the Storm. We expect that despite the loss of star Mitchell Pearce, they will come out firing and will be able to over come the Bulldogs defense. We’re happy to take advantage of Luxbets $2.50 NRL favourites Promo here.

Saturday is a whole different beast altogether, The Sharks head up north to face a team that is both in-form and extremely tough to beat at home – the North Queensland Cowboys. The Sharks however have a significant advantage, having won 11 games in Townsville from 20 visits.

Thurston is the key. Its easy to imagine the Cowboys over powering the Sharks and coasting in to the final four. But if JT can’t break the slump he’s been in lately we probable won’t see it.

The Cowboys are unchanged from their loss to the Broncos. Michael Morgan was superb against the Broncos last week. The Cowboys have scored 101 tries this season, tied 1st with the Broncos. They know how to score and we’re expecting to see plenty of it this week, Michael Morgan looks sharp for a first try scorer bet.

The Sharks have been shocking us all year. Last week they took down the reigning premiers the South Sydney Rabbitohs 28-12, and prior to that they are coming in to this one having chomped down on the Cowboys a few weeks ago in round 22 winning 30-18. Captain Paul Gallen is in the box seat this week. Last week he was solid. Sharks Hooker Michael Ennis managed to escape a suspension this week after a high tackle on Chris McQueen.

Looking at this one we’re going with the Cowboys at home. The Home crowd and the fact its finals will be more then enough for us to see JT make his moves and send the Cowboys across the line.

BET ON: North Queensland Cowboys – $2.50
