2015 NFL Week 2 Betting Tips

A disappointing opening week saw our NFL betting tips take a hit but we will be looking to bounce back strong with a few interesting match ups in our 2015 NFL Week 2 betting tips article.

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs (Friday 10.25am AEST)

The Broncos were able to come away with a victory in their opening match against the Baltimore Ravens but it was far from convincing. Quarterback Peyton Manning didn’t throw for a touchdown and the man who turns 40 this season looks as if his age is finally catching up with him. He only threw for 175 yards and it was the team’s defence that stepped up to get them the win.

Meanwhile the Chiefs had a close to perfect first half before stepping off the throttle in the second. Jamaal Charles was a constant threat running or receiving the ball and crossed for a reception touchdown whilst quarterback Alex Smith linked up with tight end on six occasions for over 100 yards and two touchdowns.

The Chiefs will pose more of an attacking threat and will hold their own defensively. It should also be a low scoring contest so we will take a combo bet in this match.

TIP: Kansas City Chiefs -2.5 & under 45.5 points @ $2.73 with Sportsbet

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills (Monday 3am AEST)

Tom Brady put the scandal behind him last week as the Patriots defeated the Steelers at home. Brady starred throwing four touchdown passes as he found Rob Gronkowski on five occasions for three touchdowns. Their combination will be vital this weekend as they play the Bills who were able to shutdown Andrew Luck and his offence and hold them to only 14 points.

The Patriots will need to continue with their short and quick passing that they used in the Superbowl last year and against the Steelers in game one otherwise the Bills defensive line will be up in Brady’s face all day causing him issues.

The Bills have a great opportunity to heap pressure on the rest of their conference and start 2-0 and if their defence can put on a similar performance as to last week then they will be hard to beat.

TIP: Bills @ $1.99 with Crownbet

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at New Orleans Saints (Monday 3am AEST)

The Buccaneers were smashed at home last weekend against fellow strugglers the Titans. Marcus Mariota clearly won the battle against Jameis Winston. The 2013 Heisman trophy winner threw a pick with the first play of his career and he failed to complete more than half of his passes. He comes up against Drew Brees he threw for 355 yards but it wasn’t enough for the Saints to get the win as they were outplayed in the fourth quarter. They should be able to easily surpass the line and win by at least a few touchdowns.

TIP: Saints -10 @ $1.97 with Palmerbet

Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings (Monday 3am AEST)

The Lions blew it last week. They were leading 21-3 before letting in 30 straight points to the Chargers. They managed to reduce it to five points and have an opportunity to win it but they again messed it up. Matthew Stafford and his side will have an easier task this weekend with the 49ers tearing up the Vikings defence last week with the running and passing game. Minnesota had a horrible match with their offence and defence both struggling. They will have their hands full attempting to slow down the Lions receivers, which should open up the running.

TIP: Lions @ $2.25 with WilliamHill
