2015 NFL Week 17 Betting Tips

The final week of the NFL regular season has been reached with a few sides fighting for the last positions available in the play offs. Week 16 saw the Carolina Panthers suffer their first loss of the season as their hopes for a perfect year was dashed. Find our NFL Week 17 Betting Tips below.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns (Monday 5am AEDT)

The Steelers were disappointing in their loss to the Ravens last week as their offence failed to score more than 30 points for the first time in 6 weeks. They were looking like one of the form teams of the league and no team wanted to face them in the playoffs, now they need to win to pick up a wild card.

Meanwhile the Browns were almost able to upset the Chiefs last week and pick up their fourth win of the season. Although they weren’t able to run one last final play that would have been a target into the end zone as the game clock wound down. The side showed a lot of improvement on defence but with the Steelers wanting to make amends for last week and the targets they have on offence they will lose this one by a big margin.

Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals (Monday 8.25am AEDT)

Russell Wilson’s impressive streak came to an end last week after his previous five games he had thrown for 19 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He was unable to continue that form against the St Louis Rams as they suffered another loss at home this year. The team was unable to get their running game going and they will be desperate to get Marshawn Lynch back on the field for the playoffs.

There were no dramas for the Cardinals despite losing safety Tyrann Mathieu for the season due to an ACL injury. A lot of experts were expecting their blitzing to be limited as he plays a massive part in that area. The side was able to sack Aaron Rodgers on 11 occasions as the side ran away to an 38-8 victory with quarterback Carson Palmer continuing to push claims for an MVP. The home side will be too strong for the Seahawks and if they can stop the run early it will be a long day for the visiting team.

TIP: Cardinals -4.5 @ $1.92 with Palmerbet

St Louis Rams at San Francisco 49ers (Monday 8.25am AEDT)

The Rams seem to have left their best football for the end of the season as they have won their last three matches. They showed signs at the beginning of the year that they could be contenders for a playoff berth but that fell away quickly before this late resurgence. A lot of it is a result of Nick Foles being benched and Case Keenum taking over, however the majority is due to Todd Gurley excelling at the running back position as the rookie has been dominant for the side and he has been recognised for his efforts by being selected to the Pro Bowl.

Meanwhile it has been a season to forget for the 49ers as they are in a rebuilding stage. Their franchise player is watching on from the sidelines as Blaine Gabbert is running the show from quarterback. The side struggle to stop the run and Gurley will be able to have a big game against this team as they clear the line and pick up a comfortable victory to end their season on an incredibly high note.

TIP: Rams -3 @ $2.00 with Crownbet

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers (Monday 12.30pm AEDT)

The final regular season game of the year could be the most entertaining with the Packers and Vikings having both clinched play off spots but with the division still up for grabs.

Both teams will be entering the match under very different circumstances with the Vikings having picked up their biggest and most impressive win of the season last week against the Giants as they were able to shut down Eli Manning and force him to throw three interceptions whilst they were able to rush for over 200 yards with Adrian Peterson leading the way for all rushers this season.

Meanwhile the Packers suffered their worst defeat with Aaron Rodgers at starting quarterback as they fell to the red hot Arizona Cardinals 38-8. Their offensive line was unable to protect Rodgers as he was sacked on 11 occasions and hit constantly throughout the match every time he went to throw the ball. He was also forced into two fumbles and the team never stood a chance. The team will need to offer a lot more protection this time around, however with the defence of the Vikings stepping up at the right time of the season and their rushing also finding form, we will be backing the away side to pick up the victory and clinch the division title in this one.
