2015 NFL Week 12 Betting Tips

The NFL has reached week 12 and it is Thanksgiving in America and there will be three matches played on Friday. The Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots have remained perfect and they both will be tested this weekend. You can find our NFL betting tips in our Week 12 preview below.

Carolina Panthers at Dallas Cowboys (Friday 8.30am AEDT)

The Cowboys snapped a seven game winning streak and it was obvious what the difference was for the side – Tony Romo had made his long awaited return and despite a shaky start and two interceptions he was able to lead his team to victory after linking with his old buddy Dez Bryant for the winning touchdown. They face a much tougher team this week as they take on the undefeated Carolina Panthers who added an extra component to their game last week.

Cam Newton threw for five touchdown passes against the Redskins and it was the first time in his career he had thrown more than three in a single game. To make the feat even more impressive the total yards of the passes was 27 yards which shows that Newton was able to hit the target when it matters most in the red zone. The Panthers will remain perfect and spoil Romo’s return to AT&T stadium.

TIP: Panthers @ $2.00 with WilliamHill

New York Giants at Washington Redskins (Monday 5am AEDT)

The Giants enjoyed their bye week last week and will need to return with a lot more venom if they look to push for a playoff berth this season. The Cowboys will be breathing down their neck soon after the return of Tony Romo and they will be desperate to improve their record against the Redskins this weekend as a loss would see them lose their advantage against their division rivals.

Eli Manning has 21 touchdown passes, this season, which is tied for the third most in the NFL. He has been playing well but at times he has let himself and his team down with bad and uncharacteristic plays late in the game. He will need to be at his best whilst the defence will need to stop the Redskins running game. Against the Panthers they only managed 12 yards off 14 carries but that match should be forgotten as everything went wrong for them and it is unlikely to repeat itself again. If the Giants can stop the run they will be able to pick up the victory in this one.

TIP: Giants -2 @ $1.93 with Palmerbet

Pittsburgh Steelers at Seattle Seahawks (Monday 8.25am AEDT)

The Steelers would have enjoyed their week off as it gave Ben Roethlisberger an extra week to get healthy after having an injury ravaged season thus far. They will still be hurting from the loss of Le’Veon Bell at running back but DeAngelo Williams is an experienced back up and is having a tremendous season despite being 32 years of age. Roethlisberger has plenty of targets and will need to make sure his passes are perfect against the Seahawks defence, however the teams biggest task will be to close in on Russell Wilson and not allow him to get out of the pocket to create plays. If they can do that it will shut down their offence and force them to rely on their running game.

However, the offensive line of the Seahawks has improved drastically over the last few weeks and Thomas Rawls’s 200-yard rushing performance is a testament to that.

The Steelers defence will do just enough to allow for the offence to be lights out with Roethlisberger combining with Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant and Markus Wheaton as they pick up the win in Seattle.

TIP: Steelers @ $2.52 with Crownbet

New England Patriots at Denver Broncos (Monday 12.30pm AEDT)

The Patriots remained perfect after they defeated the Bills in their last match but there is cause for concern when they head to Denver as quarterback Tom Brady was hit far too many times and the offensive line will need to do a better job at protecting him this week as they come up against the best pass rushing defence in the league.

However, despite seeing a mountain of pressure and being hit 11 times last week, Brady was still able to lead his team to victory and their defence is underrated.

Peyton Manning will remain on the sidelines for this one as Brock Osweiler will start in his place after a strong showing in his first career start last week. He threw 20/27 and two touchdown passes. Although, that won’t be enough to unsettle the Patriots and be the first team to deliver them a loss this season.

TIP: Patriots -3 @ $1.92 with Sportsbet
