2015/16 NBA Season Prop Bets

October 29, 2015 by Posted in Betting Tips, NBA Tips

NBA Prop BetsHow good was the start of the NBA season? Steph Curry went bonkers and got the Warriors off to a flyer while the Bulls showed all of their famous grit to edge out the Cavs at home. Below are a collection of NBA season prop bets that kick off our NBA betting tips and appear good value!

Regular Season Wins
We’ve found a few teams that seemed to be slightly overvalued by the bookies and happy to take the UNDER on their season win tallies.

Indiana Pacers UNDER 41 wins (Sportsbet) $1.87
The market seems to have overvalued the return of Paul George and forgotten they have a roster with no balance whatsoever and will fighting off improving teams such as the Bucks and Pistons as well as the Bulls, Hawks, Raptors and Cavs for wins. Projected to win 35 games and look a good ‘unders’ bet.

Utah Jazz UNDER 42.5 (Sportsbet) $1.87
In case you didn’t know, the Western Conference is brutal. The Jazz start with 8 of their first 10 games on the road before hosting the Raptors then going back to Dallas! Exum is out for the season and even if the Stifle Tower Rudy Gobert rises to the lofty expectations I just can’t see them winning 40 games this year.

Western Conference Winner – Oklahoma City Thunder @ $5.50
As you may have already read in our NBA Championship Betting Tip article, We are all aboard the Thunder train for 2015/16. It will be a big bounce back season for Durant and co. While it’s hard to knock the Spurs and Warriors the value play is with the Thunder. $5.50 is more than a fair price considering the top end talent they possess.

Southwest Division Winner – Houston Rockets @ $3
We really like this Rockets team. They are underrated and look a good bet to steal this division from the Spurs. Harden is a star and Lawson is a nice addition who can help handle the ball and run the pick and roll. It’s a fun division with the Rockets, Spurs, Grizzlies and even the Pelicans having at least some chance of winning it. The Spurs will take time to gel but they will also nurse the likes of Duncan, Parker, West, Ginobili, Diaw and even LaMarcus Aldridge through the season and I can see them leaving the door open for the hungry Rockets. Expect that Memphis championship window has closed and the Rockets will step up to the plate and win close to 60 games. Get on!

Coach Of The Year – Billy Donovan @ $9 Sportsbet
Predicting the Thunder win 60 games, win the title, Durant wins Finals MVP and re-signs a max extension. That surely is enough for Billy to win COTY. $9.50 looks a good fun bet to me. Voters LOVE new coaches.

Regular season MVP – James Harden $6.50
He really should have won this award last year because without him I don’t think they would have won 40 games. Incredibly gifted offensive player who was better on the defensive end than some pundits would tell you. His team is better this year which will help to gloss over his weaknesses and highlight his incredibly strengths.

Stear clear of…
These are some popular bets floating around out there that I do not see as good value betting propositions. Happy to bet around them or not bet in these markets at all.

$1.20 for the Cavs to win the Central Division (Bulls better value)
$2.75 for the Hawks to win the Southeast Division (Heat and Wizards better value)
$5.50 Anthony Davis MVP
$51 Carmelo Anthony MVP
$24 Paul George MVP
