NBA Betting Tips Lebron 2016

It’s been a busy week of NBA action as we draw closer to the All-Star game. Speaking of which, it’s a bit disappointing Dirk Nowitzki didn’t get a spot on the reserves. No Tim Duncan and no Dirk – that’s the first time we’ve had an All-Star game without at least one of them since 1997!

A solid slate of games this Saturday (AEDT time) and we’ve identified the best betting games below in our latest NBA betting tips article!

Cleveland @ Detroit 11:30am AEDT

LeBron might deny he is a coach killer which may be fair enough but there is no doubt that he showed a distinct lack of respect toward coach David Blatt during his tenure in Cleveland. Coach Tyrone Lue seems to be more of a ‘players coach’ so to speak and the Cavaliers are still the best team in the Eastern Conference.

Detroit got a much needed easy kill when they handled the Philadelphia 76ers a few nights ago, the most pleasing thing for them was the return to form of Andre Drummond who had 25 points and 18 rebounds in the contest. This should be a good game and potentially a second round NBA Eastern Conference playoffs preview. Cleveland offer good value at -4, we expect this line to get out to 5 by the time the game tips off.

Suggested bet: Cleveland -4 @ $1.91 Ladbrokes
Confidence level: 75%

Brooklyn @ Dallas 12:40pm AEDT

This game will no doubt be dominated by the Deron Williams sub-plot. He’s got the heart the size of a chickpea and was quick to throw his former team under the bus despite the fact they heavily overpaid for 4 years of below average production from the once All-Star calibre point guard. Like most new players in Rick Carlisle’s system though, he has showed signs of life so far this season.

Brooklyn are in an awfully tough spot with no first-round picks in the shed until 2036, limited depth on the court, an interim coach and no General Manager. Wow that’s bleak. They do however have a decent front court pairing in Brook Lopez and Thad Young that can cause the Mavs some issues. We are worried that the recent lineup shuffling that’s gone on in Dallas may rock the boat enough to let the Nets cover. Nine point five points seems a bucket too high. Take the points on the dire Nets and run!

Suggested bet: Brooklyn +9.5 @ $1.97 Sportsbet
Confidence level: 75%

Minnesota @ Utah 13:10pm AEDT

Our best bet of the night comes in Salt Lake City. The Jazz are a tough team to get a hold on, they seem to switch off for five-ten minutes almost every night and let teams either get back into the game or draw away with a cosy lead. They lack leadership and steady production across the board. Gordon Hayward might be their best player but Derrick Favors is their barometer. He’s working his way back to full health currently and will likely have a small minutes restriction in this game.

The Timberwolves are playing better than their record suggests. We were court side to see them blow a lead agains the Mavericks in Dallas and eventually be run down in overtime. They then defeated a playoff bound Memphis at home lost by single digits to Cleveland and came within a three-pointer of the Oklahoma City Thunder. They are playing well enough to win this game let alone cover the spread. We suggest taking the points but the $3.75 H2H odds at Sportsbet are tempting!

Suggested bet: Minnesota +7.5 @ $1.95 William Hill
Confidence level: 85%
