2015/16 NBA Betting Tips – January 26

January 25, 2016 by Posted in NBA Tips

Golden State Warriors NBAWelcome BetKing punters for another NBA preview. We had a nice profit with our NBA Tips on Wednesday with the Thunder not quite clearing the spread as the only blemish on our record.

It’s Australia Day on Tuesday and there’s nothing more Australian than having a bet! There’s a nice spread of games tomorrow and our thoughts and best bets can be found below!

San Antonio @ Golden State 14:40 AEDT

Not a super confident bet but worth a preview anyway given it features the two best teams in the NBA and two of the best NBA teams ever assembled! Two teams that are playing beautiful basketball in different ways. It’ll be interesting to see how they match-up and if Popovic or Kerr will put all the cards on the table.

Golden State deserve to be favourites but this line does feel a point or two high. If you had to bet we suggest taking the points on the brilliant Spurs. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy what will be a superb spectacle!

Suggested bet: San Antonio +5 @ Sportsbet
Confidence level: 60%

Houston @ New Orleans Pelicans 12:00 AEDT

This is a match featuring two teams on the improve. The Pelicans are in the middle of a big home stand and must take some scalps if they are return to the Western Conference Playoffs. Houston are above .500 and have won eight out of their past 11 matches. James Harden is chalking up triple doubles and they have Josh Smith back who looks surprisingly invigorated.

The swing vote here is Dwight Howard who at this stage is probable a 50-50 proposition to play. The current odds at Sportsbet at $2.35 on the Rockets to win is more than fair even if he doesn’t play. For that reason, we are taking some now and if he is confirmed as playing they’ll probably SP around $2.20 maybe even less!

Suggested bet: Houston H2H @ $2.35 Sportsbet
Confidence level: 70%

Orlando @ Memphis 12:00 AEDT

Don’t look now but the Memphis Grizzlies are five games above .500! They keep grinding and always will. However, they are not a legitimate playoff contender. Not with their current roster. A bad shooting night against the Timberwolves cost them their fifth straight victory and they have been a good betting proposition over the past bunch of games. The market has now caught up though it seems.

This line is too high. Orlando have a shocking record against the Grizzlies (lost 12 of their past 13) and are not playing their best but we can’t get our heads around the spread.

Suggested bet: Orlando H2H $3.05 @ Sportsbet (or if you can find $1.92 take a +6.5 spread)
Confidence level: 75%

Detroit @ Utah 13:00 AEDT

The Pistons conceded 72 points in the first-half against the Pelicans the other night. Andre Drummond had one of his worst games all year and despite a few big wins over the Warriors and Rockets they are not playing as well as they had previously.

Gordon Hayward is leading the Jazz through an up and down start to January but they do have a nice home stand coming up and this looks a game they should be winning. Both teams are slightly better defensively than they are on the offensive end so it might be a struggle but we like the Jazz to cover at home.

Suggested bet: Utah -2 $1.95 William Hill
Confidence level: 75%

** No solid line on the Sacramento Kings v Charlotte Hornets yet but we do think the Kings should win. Any line below 5 points would be worth chasing!
