2015/16 NBA Betting Tips – January 20

Kevin Durant NBAWelcome NBA punters to our latest NBA betting preview for BetKing. We has a small loss on our NBA preview on Saturday and we are super keen to get back in the winners stall today on a four game NBA slate.

Monday’s Martin Luther King NBA day was an absolute belter with four games going into overtime. Kemba Walker was able to chalk up the impressive stat line of 52 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists in the Hornets double overtime win over the Jazz.

Milwaukee @ Miami

Miami are back home after two weeks on the road! It was a rough road trip for the Heat and at times veterans Bosh, Wade and Deng looked very frustrated with guys like Green and Whiteside and their inability to play team defence. Not that Wade can talk, he’s an awful defender most of the time and he very rarely puts in on that end. They also lost Goran Dragic to a calf injury just when he looked to be finding his feet in South Beach.

Milwaukee have had a few injuries rock the boat but have still been able to win four of their past six games and seem to be starting to fulfil some of their potential. There is a lot of talent in this side and Jason Kidd could eventually be a Hall Of Fame calibre coach. We believe in Milwaukee despite their tough start to the season.

Suggested bet: Milwaukee +5.5 $1.95 at William Hill
Confidence level: 80%

Minnesota @ New Orleans

The Timberwolves are struggling and this young core look like they need a break. They’ve won just two of their past 15 games. Wiggins and co are struggling to score (22nd in the NBA in points per game) and also to rebound the ball effectively (24th in the NBA in rebounds per game). Rookie Karl Anthony-Towns has shown enough to suggest the Timberwolves are going places though.

The Pelicans have had their own struggles. Coach Alvin Gentry needs to take some of the blame, so does the market place for overrating the team in the preseason, however they have had some awful luck with injury and they can’t get any continuity or consistency going. The past couple of games have delivered glimpses of what they are capable of though and with Anthony Davis back fit and Ryan Anderson shooting the three well (and playing up his trade value) they should handle the young Timberwolves.

Suggested bet: New Orleans H2H $1.48 at Sportsbet
Confidence level: 75%

Oklahoma City @ Denver

The Thunder are rolling! Oklahoma City with a healthy Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka can compete with any team in the league. Including the Spurs and Warriors. We believe it! They are beating teams and beating teams comfortably. Their offence has scored the 2nd most points per game in the entire league at 108.5 points per game.

Denver are a bit of fun to watch but they are tough to keep a hold on. Danilo Gallinari has had a terrific year bouncing back from injury averaging 23.9 points per game in January. The Nuggets have won four of their past six games after a tough little stretch.

Suggested bet: OKC -8.5 $1.95 at William Hill
Confidence level: 80%

Indiana @ Phoenix

Tough game to handicap this one is. Indiana need a break badly. Paul George hasn’t looked his sprightly self in recent games and Coach Vogel revealed he is feeling the pinch a little bit. The Pacers though are still a considerably better team than the Suns. We expect them to pour the pressure on early and try and shut this one down early.

Phoenix are a dumpster fire, still. Hornacek is very likely on the way out and the Tyson Chandler trade has been a disaster. They are struggling to score without Eric Bledsoe and Indiana should be able to stifle them even though they are back at home.

Suggested bet: Under 209.5 $1.90 at Luxbet
Confidence level: 75%
