2015/16 NBA Betting Tips – April 6th
Fresh off a very rare NBA rest day we are presented with a juicy Wednesday slate of NBA games to bet on. As we mentioned last week it is the silly season. It actually presents some really good betting situations as long as you do your research and keep a close eye on the team changes.
With that being said, we’ll try and give you some hints and tips to look out for over the next few weeks. There is a whopping 11 games on Wednesday and our best bets for AEDT NBA Wednesday are listed below!
New Orleans Pelicans at Philadelphia 76ers (Wednesday 9am AEDT)
To put it lightly, this game wont be one to showcase the beauty of NBA level Basketball. This might be the first spread bet we’ve had on Philadelphia as favourites all season long. The Pelicans are on the ropes and as injury rattled as almost any team in recent memory. It also might be the first time all season where the 76ers are clearly the more talented team on paper!
The spread at just two points is very appealing and we think that bookmakers have overreacted to the Pelicans recent wins. We are siding with the 76ers to celebrate Iverson’s recent Hall Of Fame news with a win at home.
Suggested bet: Philadelphia -2 @ $1.95 William Hill
Confidence level: 75%
Phoenix Suns at Atlanta Hawks (Wednesday 10:10am AEDT)
At this stage of the season a spread this big seems silly unless you’re talking about the Warriors or perhaps a full strength Spurs side. Atlanta need to strike a balance between securing the playoff seed they want and resting key players like Horford and Millsap.
The Suns will have their work cut out winning this game without Brandon Knight but with a 14.5-point head start they are the way we’ve got to lean. Just like the Pelicans v 76ers game, this might be ugly from a visual perspective but the help we are getting is just too good to ignore.
Suggested bet: Phoenix +14.5 @ $1.95 William Hill
Confidence level: 75%
Portland Trail Blazers at Sacramento Kings (Wednesday 1pm AEDT)
One more win for the Blazers and they make the playoffs and cap off one of the best underdog seasons in recent memory. Their dynamic young back court of Lillard and McCollum is well suited against the Kings guards and Plumlee is really an underrated matchup for Boogie Cousins.
Sacramento is so inconsistent and hasn’t been able to shake that awful reputation all season long. With so much on the line for the young Blazers it’s impossible to pick against them given they’ve exceeded expectations all year long.
Suggested bet: Portland -2.5 @ $1.95 William Hill
Confidence level: 75%
