2016-17 UEFA Champions League: Quarter Finals Betting Tips
European Champions League always has a charm to it thanks to the roster of top teams. Now with the business end of things approaching, the quarter-finals are all set to provide great action and entertainment. We look ahead to what’s in store.
Juventus vs Barcelona (Wednesday 4.45am)
The lone Serie A team left in the draw, Juventus would have hoped for a better draw. But they will have to do with a tentative Barcelona with the second leg at Camp Nou.
Barcelona are in the midst of a poor run in La Liga but are high-flying in Europe. Who can forget their monumental comeback against PSG in the last round! But so much has changed after that match that the momentum is clearly in favor of the Old Lady.
Borussia Dortmund vs Monaco (Wednesday 4.45am)
One of the low-profile encounters of this round but both teams are very dangerous in Europe. Dortmund should start as favorite for the encounter although their build-up to the game isn’t all too encouraging.
Monaco are one of the most free-scoring sides in entire Europe and are the team that every side fears to face. The French League leaders have been sizzling in Europe and should fancy their chances.
Atletico Madrid vs Leicester (Thursday 4.45am)
Atletico have had so many tough draws at this stage over the years that it is only natural that they get the easiest opponent. Leicester City isn’t a huge threat for Diego Simeone’s men although they will be wary of the counter-attack happy Foxes.
There’s no doubt that this is the biggest game of their history for Leicester. Their form has picked up domestically although they have faltered to deceive in the weekend match.
Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid (Thursday 4.45am)
Easily the blockbuster clash of this round! German Champions Bayern will be confident even against the defending Champions thanks to their superb scoring prowess. The quality at their disposal is good enough to swing the tie in their favor.
It’s been a strange season for Real so far who have not dominated the matches like they do. But, Zinedine Zidane’s men have been doing just enough to keep their winning form going. No flair but results! Can they topple the applecart of Munchen?
